Not only did the team earn a spot in the season end playoffs, they did so without a single defeat. Their perfect regular season ended on Halloween 2009 with a decisive victory at Aloha's home field. The team worked hard preparing for their first playoff game. They shutout the always tough Canby team 18 to 0 and began preparation for the the division championship game against Sherwood Varsity Black. Sherwood was fired up and ready for business in the final game. The first score in the game was a safety against Sherwood with a few minutes to go in the 3rd quarter. Sherwood continued with their intensity and with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter reached the goal line on an interception leaving the score 6 to 2. Beaverton had a good series but was forced to punt. They got the ball back and with 4 minutes in the game Beaverton began it's final possession. They drove the ball down within the 5 yard line with a couple of minutes to play. After having a touchdown called back on the penalty, the team found themselves 1st and about 5 yards out. Several attempts and the Beavers were within 2 yards, 4th down and under 20seconds to go. After coach Colorito called a timeout and planned the 4th down play with the office the team took the line. Quarterback Twain lined up under center Martinson and began the count. Up back Grant from the left side started in motion to the right. Martinson snapped the ball to Twain. The line fired off strong as Grant took the hand-off headed to the right of the line and head toward the goal line off tackle. With 6 seconds left the Beavers went ahead of the Bowman 8 to 6. After holding Sherwood, following the kickoff, Beavers earned a perfect 10 and 0 season and the championship for the Varsity division in Tualatin Valley Youth Football.
